OSCAR BASH 2012 presented by Main Street Movie Company

Event Description

Salt Lake City's biggest and best Oscar Party descends on Trolley Square on Sunday, February 26th. Presented by Main Street Movie Company and hosted by filmmaker Richard Dutcher, OSCAR BASH 2012 is THE place to be on Oscar Night (unless you're actually at the Kodak Theater, of course!) 

The gala event opens at 5:00 p.m. This is a black tie (optional, but - hey - WHY NOT?!) event. Break out your tuxes and finest dresses and walk the red carpet with some of Utah's most influential artists and entertainers.

Tickets are $10.00 and are available on-line until noon on Sunday the 26th. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door until we are sold out. Your ticket enters you into the evening's raffle for DVDs, posters, and a variety of FUN STUFF!

Arrive early to cast your ballot for the OSCAR GAME. The winner will receive a CASH PRIZE of at least $300.00! No ballots will be accepted after the first Oscar is awarded. The kitchen (and bar) will be open, so come hungry and thirsty. 

Salt Lake City's finest stand-up comics will entertain the crowd during the televised event's commercial breaks.

Also, this year the coveted Black Jaguar Awards - with cash prizes - will be awarded to Utah writers and filmmakers for: 

BEST SHORT FILM SCREENPLAY - $100 cash prize                                               BEST FEATURE LENGTH SCREENPLAY - $200 cash prize                                       BEST UTAH PRODUCED SHORT FILM - $200 cash prize
